Clixsounds introduces "Audion," a complete compilation
of original audio creations. Audion contains over 600MB
of sound files designed for use specifically on computers
as System Alert Beeps, StartUp Sounds, System Clock
Sounds, Email Replacement Sounds, and Collectible
files. The CD-ROM is partitioned for Macintosh, Windows, and selected portions will play on your audio CD player.
The Sounds
Audion provides both 16-bit/44.1kHz and 8-bit/22.5kHz versions of every sound included on the CD. All sounds in the Macintosh partition are in System 7 format, allowing instant listening by double-clicking the file.

Audion contains over 35 System StartUp Sounds including classics, like the most popular downloadable sounds such as "Maniacintosh," "Legend of Macintosh," "Mystical Chant," "Seductive StartUp," "Haunted Macintosh," and other new sounds like "Prayer Of Power Macintosh," "Pure Power," "Silence Is Boring," "Access Granted," "Planet Macintosh," and many more including several Holiday Sounds.
System Alert Beeps
Audion includes over 150 unique System Alert Beeps, each available in both 16-bit/44.1kHz and 8-bit/22.5kHz stereo versions. The beeps ranges from 1 second up to 2.5 seconds and vary in style from extremely hi-tech, musical, mechanic, to natural. These are unique sounds in that they are not merely sound effects, but each contain excellent stereo effects and are of the highest clarity and fidelity.
System Clock Sounds
Audion includes 15 sets of sounds for use as your System Clock Sounds, which can play at 1/4 Past, 1/2 Past, 1/4 'Til, Top Of the Hour, and chime. Each set contains a sound for each function of the hour which is uniform with the theme of the set. The sounds can be used with the Date & Time Control Panel of System 7.5, or with the shareware "SuperClock" control panel. Sets include "GrandFather Clock," "Walky Talky," "Rock-n-Roll," and more.
Email Sound Replacements
Another feature of the Audion CD-ROM is the variety of sounds designed for email programs like Claris Emailer and Eudora Pro. For programs like Eudora Light, which do not allow user-assigned sounds, Audion provides automatic sound replacers , which install the sound for you. Sounds include "Caribbean New Mail," "RainForest Mail," "AirMail," "Femalien," and more.
Collectibles
Audion includes collectible sounds from the "Star Battle" series, "Happy Birthday" sounds, and "Monster Macintosh Rally," to an entire collection of the "Holiday Series."
StartUp Movies
Audion brings you several great digital animation clips that play automatically when you start your Mac. These 3D Quicktimes are short, 3-7 second clips that you place into your System Folder to be played while your extensions load, and each have stereo sound. Movies include "StereoMorph," "Digital Entry," and "Thin Air Startup," and others.
Extras
Audion also contains nearly 20 of the top audio-related shareware and freeware utilities available for Macintosh. Each utility performs helpful tasks that save valuable time when working with sounds and is available on the CD for your review for registration, if shareware. Audion also contains demos of various software of relevance, as well as a few "hidden" extras for the curious.
